Push vs. Pull Learning – Which Side Are You On?



Winston Churchill once said: “Personally I’m always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught.” This is a sentiment that seems to hold true for many of us, myself included.

Perhaps the reason why learning is preferred is because it’s usually done in response to a need we have, typically one that is immediate. While when we’re taught something, it sometimes involves knowledge that isn’t solicited – usually knowledge that we don’t care much for in the first place.
